Graduation FAQs

Who can participate in BSE's Graduation Ceremony?

Any homeschool student in Jackson County or the surrounding counties who is registered as a homeschool student may participate.

Is there a fee to participate?

Yes. Please refer to our detailed Graduation Fee Document HERE for a complete breakdown of costs and included activities.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! Current BSE members receive a discount on their graduation registration fee.

Can I use my Step Up Scholarship funds to pay the registration fee?

Yes. Step Up Scholarship funds may be used to cover the full cost of your student's graduation registration fee.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available for families who are not utilizing scholarship funds. Please click HERE for details.

What if we don't want some of the optional activities or items?

The graduation fee is a flat fee regardless of how many optional activities or items are selected. If a graduate chooses not to participate in a particular activity, the funds allocated for that activity are applied toward other graduation-related expenses.

Example: If a graduate opts out of attending prom, the funds designated for the prom ticket may be applied toward senior outing expenses or other graduation costs.

Are tickets issued for family and friends to attend the ceremony?

At this time, tickets are not required and are not being issued for guests.

What if we need to withdraw from the graduation program after registering?

All payments made toward graduation expenses are non-refundable. No exceptions will be made.

What types of fundraisers are offered?

Fundraising opportunities vary from year to year and are typically determined based on the interests and requests of the graduating class and their parents.
